30 Injured In Separate Bus Mishaps

Bhubaneswar/Choudwar/Champua: At least 30 persons were injured in three separate road accidents in the state on Saturday.

The first incident was reported from Bhubaneswar when a picnic bus carrying 40 students rammed into a stationary bus from the rear on CRP fly-over. As many as 15 people including the driver and helper of the bus were injured in the incident. They were admitted to Capital Hospital for treatment.
The bus was on its way to Kapilash from Banapur when the mishap occurred at around 3 am, police sources said.
Similarly, ten people were injured, two of them seriously, after a bus named ‘Mahalaxmi’ which they were travelling in collided with a truck on National Highway-55 at Choudwar in Cuttack district.
The ill-fated bus was heading towards Cuttack from Bhatarika when the accident took place.
In another incident, five passengers were injured when a bus named ‘Tapaswini’ in which they were travelling overturned near Katulikana in Champua of Keonjhar district.
Those injured were rushed to Champua hospital for treatment.
