56 Old Age Homes In Odisha To Get COVID-19 Kits

Bhubaneswar: To safeguard the health of the elderly, the Odisha government has decided to provide COVID-19 kits to all 56 old age homes in the state.

Informing the media on Monday, Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD) minister Ashok Chandra Panda said that each COVID-19 kit costing Rs 7700 will have an oximeter, glucometer, thermal scanner, hot and cold bag and a sphygmomanometer.

The government will provide the kit to the old age homes on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons on October 1, the minister added.
