5T Secretary VK Pandian To Visit Ganjam, Rayagada, Gajapati To Review COVID-19 Preparedness

Bhubaneswar: Development Commissioner Suresh Mohapatra and Secretary to Chief Minister (Transformation and Initiatives) V K Pandian will visit COVID care centres at Shergada, Hinjili, Kabi Surya Nagar, Aska, Polsara, Berhampur locality on Friday to review the COVID situation in Ganjam district

They will also interact with the district and block level officials in this matter, sources said.

The senior state government officials will also visit Rayagada and Gajapati to review the preparedness to tackle COVID crisis in the district.

Notably, Ganjam has so far reported 264 positive cases, which includes two recoveries and one death. Rayagada and Gajapati districts so far been able to keep the virus at bay. But with cases rising in Ganjam, there neighbouring districts are at high risk.
