Odisha COVID-19 Toll Rises To 372; Two Patients Each Succumb In Bhubaneswar & Sundargarh
Bhubaneswar: With 10 more deaths in the last 24 hours, the COVID-19 toll in Odisha touched 372 on Wednesday.
According to the Health Department, four new deaths have been reported from Ganjam district, two each from Bhubaneswar and Sundargarh and one each from Bargarh and Bhadrak.
Regret to inform the demise of Ten #COVID19 positive patients while under treatment in hospitals.
1. A 46-year old male of Bargarh district who was also suffering from Diabetes, Hypertension.

5. A 73-year old female of Ganjam district .
6. A 58-year old male of Ganjam district.
7. A 50-year old male of Ganjam district.
8. A 42-year old male of Ganjam district.
9. A 55-year old male of Sundergarh district who was also suffering from Coronary Artery Disease.

With these 10 new casualties, the virus has so far claimed 162 lives in Ganjam district, followed by 51 in Khurda, 24 in Sundargarh, 18 each in Cuttack and Rayagada, 16 in Gajapati, nine each in Sambalpur, Puri and Nayagarh, eight in Balasore, six in Kandhamal and Bhadrak, five each in Bargarh and Keonjhar, four in Jajpur, three each in Angul, Malkangiri and Kendrapada, two each in Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Jagatsinghpur and Kalahandi and one each in Jharsuguda, Nabarangpur, Balangir, Sonepur and Dhenkanal.

The case fatality rate in Odisha is the sixth lowest in the country at 0.56 per cent. With ‘test, trace and treat’ strategy, the state is aiming to keep it below 0.50 per cent.
