Forest Fire In Odisha Brought Under Control Completely: Task Force Head

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Saturday claimed that the forest fire in different parts of the state have been completely brought under control.

The former Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF) and head of the task force Sandip Tripathy said as per the report of the US-based Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), the forest fire in Similipal National Park has been brought under control while the Forest Survey of India (FSI) has stated that there is no continuous fire at any point in the state.

On the steps taken to prevent the spread of the forest fire, Tripathy said the district administrations and the field officials of the Forest department are constantly monitoring the situation while the night patrolling and routine patrolling in all forest ranges have been intensified.
