IAF’s Mirage-2000 Crashes At Bhind in Madhya Pradesh; Pilot Safe
New Delhi: A Mirage 2000 fighter jet of Indian Air Force crashed near Madhya Pradesh’s Bhind district on Thursday morning.
There were no casualties reported as the pilot ejected safely, the Indian Air Force stated in a tweet.
A video show the debris scattered on an empty field in Mankabad, some 6 km from Bhind.
The plane caught fire after the crash, he said, adding that the pilot was rescued, stated PTI reports.
A team of policemen has formed a cordon around the crash site, where the smouldering tail section of the trainer jet is seen half buried in the field.
An inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident, stated the IAF in the tweet.
