Patna: Popular educator and coaching institute operator Faisal Khan, widely known as Khan Sir, will approach the Patna Civil Court for anticipatory bail after being named in a First Information Report linked to a recent incident of vandalism and violence at his coaching centre in Bihar’s capital.
According to his legal counsel, Arvind Kumar Mahuar, Khan Sir will not surrender before the court and instead will file an anticipatory bail application as a precautionary step.
The lawyer has also alleged that the FIR against Khan Sir is part of a “conspiracy” to defame him. He further claimed that there are no substantive charges against the educator and that the case has been filed in a retaliatory context.
The development comes amid an ongoing investigation into an incident, when a clash outside Khan Sir’s coaching institute reportedly escalated into vandalism and firing. The episode left a security guard injured and led to a significant police response in the area.
Following the incident, police registered a case and began examining evidence to identify those involved. Authorities have also detained several individuals, including security personnel of the institute, for questioning in connection with the alleged firing.
Khan Sir has maintained that rival coaching institutes may be behind the attack, although police have not confirmed this claim and have stated that multiple angles are being investigated.
