The large-scale flag-making initiative has provided Mission Shakti women with an opportunity to contribute to the national campaign while strengthening their collective enterprise, production capabilities and livelihood opportunities.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said, “The preparation of 60 lakh National Flags by our Mission Shakti women is a matter of immense pride for Odisha. It reflects their deep sense of patriotism, dedication and entrepreneurial spirit. Our women have once again demonstrated that when empowered through collective platforms, they can successfully undertake activities of significant scale.”
Har Ghar Tiranga is not merely a celebration of our National Flag; it is also an expression of people’s participation in nation-building, she said.
Through Mission Shakti, women are becoming active contributors to Odisha’s development while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for themselves and their communities said Parida.
The successful completion of the 60 lakh National Flag target with 100 per cent achievement underscores the commitment of Odisha’s Mission Shakti women towards both nation-building and women-led development.
