Boudh: Police on Saturday busted an illegal gun-making unit during a raid on Kusang village under Harabhanga police limits in boudh district.
According to sources, police nabbed Nirmal Joshi (33) while he was loitering near the bridge over Tel river on Friday morning. A native of Bagicha Sahi, he was taken to the police station for interrogation. He revealed about the unit and a police team soon conducted a raid in the village.
A single barrel gun, two country-made pistol, iron barrels, gunstocks and other materials used in gun making were seized from the spot. Police also arrested Ramesh Behera of the village for his alleged involved in the illegal trade.
The duo was arrested under Arms Act and forwarded to court.
