Amit Shah To Begin 2-Day Odisha Visit This Evening, Check His Itinerary

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha BJP is gearing up to extend a grand welcome to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who will arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar at 8.30 pm on Sunday.

According to a BJP release, Shah will offer prayers at Lingaraj Temple here at 8 am the following morning, the last auspicious Monday of the holy month of Shravan. The party will also be holding grand receptions at Nakhara, Link Road, Pala Mandap, Badambadi, Dolamundai, Haripur, Seminar Chhak, Dargha Bazaar, Tinikonia Bazar, Buxi Bazar, Chandi Mandir Chhak, Barabati Fort Nuapatna, Mangalabag, College Square and OMP Square when he travels from Bhubaneswar to Cuttack by road.

On his way, the Union Minister will then visit the birthplace of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at Odia Bazar around 10 am and then head for Indoor Stadium to attend the 75th anniversary of Odia daily ‘Prajatantra’, which was founded by noted freedom fighter and former Chief Minister Harekrushna Mahatab, at 11 am.

On back in Bhubaneswar, Shah will take part in Har Ghar Triranga Abhiyan at 1 pm and then hold a meeting of the state BJP’s core committee at its headquarters in Bhubaneswar.

Later in the evening, he will take part in a book reading session at Mayfair Convention here and launch the Odisha edition of ‘Modi@20: Dreams Meet Delivery’ at 4.30 pm. This book has been written on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s completion of 20 years in office, from becoming the chief minister of Gujarat in 2001.

The Union Home Minister will depart for Delhi around 6.30 pm.
