Bhubaneswar: As the nation grieves the gruesome death of 44 CRPF personnel in Pulwama, artists in Odisha are showcasing tribute to the martyrs through their artwork. Popular miniature artist L Eswar Rao from Jatni village in Khurda district, has scuplted an AK-47 rifle inside a bottle in memory of the jawans.
The 10-inch structure has been designed using cardboard and clay. Eswar, who runs a private museum showcasing his famous artwork ranging from a Taj Mahal made of chalk to Sardar Patel’s statue made of soap, has laid flowers at the foot of the sculpture as a symbol of respect for the brave jawans.
Sibashish Panda, a micro-artist who recently won soap sculpture fest at IIT-Kharagpur, has created a miniature artwork on a pencil nib to show his support and respect to the army. The 5mm artwork consists of a soldier, gun, tricolor flag and a helmet. ‘This is my shradhanjali to the jawans’, he said.
