Mumbai: Filmmaker Atlee and his wife Priya on Monday announced the birth of their second child, a baby girl.
The couple shared the joyful news with fans through a joint Instagram post.
The announcement came just a day after ‘Raaka’ actor Deepika Padukone and husband Ranveer Singh revealed her second pregnancy, making it a moment of celebration for the filmmaker as well.
Atlee captioned the post as, “Feeling blessed.”
The couple shared a cute poster with a sketch of their son Meer, sharing his joy on becoming an elder brother.
“Yay! I’ve got a baby sister… Big brother Meer. We, Priya and Atlee are blessed with a baby girl. April 20th, 2026,” read the poster.
There was an outpouring of love from fans and industry peers, who flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages.
Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu wrote, “Congratulations”.
Ananya Panday posted, “Biggest congratulations.”
Kajal Aggarwal commented, “Yayyy big congratulations… lots of love to the little baby girl, parents, grandparents and most of all Meer”.

Atlee and Priya had revealed in January that they were expecting their second child.
They shared the news on Instagram with a heartwarming post featuring their growing family, including their son Meer and their beloved pets. The caption read, “Our home is about to get even cosier with the addition of our newest member! Yes! We are pregnant again. Need all your blessings, love and prayers. With love Atlee, Priya, Meer, Becky, Yuki, Chocki, Coffee and Goofy.”
Atlee and Priya tied the knot in 2014 after dating for several years. The couple welcomed their first son Meer on January 31, 2023.
On the work front, Atlee is currently occupied with his upcoming directorial ‘Raaka’, starring Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone.
“During her pregnancy, Deepika Padukone is shooting intense action sequences for Raaka… She will continue to shoot for the film throughout her pregnancy,” a source was quoted as saying by HT.
‘Raaka’ is expected to hit screens in 2027.
