Mumbai: After ‘Bigg Boss 18’ winner Karan Veer Mehra bagged his first Bollywood film, runner-up Vivian Dsena shared that he doesn’t like working in movies.
During a candid conversation with Mid-Day, Vivian spoke about his liking for the small screen and said he won’t mind working in web series, but not in films.
“By God’s grace, I have done four shows, and all of them have been hits. I would like to continue doing that, whether on television or the web, but films are not really my type,” Vivian said.
“I’ve come back, really come back to work. There are a lot of discussions and new projects in the pipeline, so hopefully, you’ll see me in a series very soon,” he added.
The actor further revealed that he is currently in talks for several OTT projects and will be featuring in a web series soon.
Vivian’s popular sitcom ‘Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon’ completed 13 years on May 28.
Reflecting on the journey, a nostalgic Vivian said, “During Madhubala, fans would come all the way to Film City just to meet me. There were women who would say, ‘Sir, my husband may not watch anything else, but he never misses your show.’ These people came only for RK (Vivian’s character), and I truly feel I was at the right place at the right time and I put in just the right amount of hard work to make it count.”
Besides ‘Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon’, Vivian has also starred in ‘Pyaar Ki Ek Kahaani’, ‘Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki’ and many more popular sitcoms.
Karan Veer, on the other hand, will be sharing screen space with ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ actor Harshvardhan Rane in his debut film.
The film, a romantic action drama, will be helmed by Omung Kumar, who has directed acclaimed projects like ‘Mary Kom’ and ‘Sarbjit’.
