Bhubaneswar: In the first major bureaucratic reshuffle after assuming office for the fifth time in a row, the Naveen Patnaik dispensation has appointed Kendrapara Collector, Prem Chandra Chaudhury as the new Commissioner of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
The present BMC Commissioner Samarth Verma, will replace him as the new Kendrapara Collector.
In all, 32 officials were given new assignments and collectors of nine districts transferred.
# Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister Niranjan Sahoo has been transferred and posted as the new Director of Higher Education, with the additional charge of Labour Commissioner.
#Secretary, Board of Revenue in Cuttack Prasanta Kumar Senapati has been transferred and posted as Inspector General of Registration, Cuttack.
#Labour Commissioner and Director ESI, Odisha Anjan Kumar Manik has been appointed as the new Excise Commissioner, Cuttack.
# Director of Tourism Bibhuti Bhushan Patnaik, who was holding the additional charge of OTDC as its MD has been appointed as the Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Odisha. He replaces Tribikram Pradhan who has been appointed as the Additional Secretary in the Excise Department.
#Cuttack Collector Aravind Agarwal has been made the new director of Social Welfare, W&CD and Mission Shakti Department, besides the CEO of OMBADC. He replaces Reghu G. who has been the Director of Technical Education and Training, Cuttack.
Sitansu Kumar Rout, presently serving as the Collector of Boudh, has been made the new Collector of Khurda. He will be replaced by Lalatendu Mishra.
#Bhupendra S Poonia, who was serving as Khurda Collector, has been made the new State Project Director of OPEPA, and given additional charge of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan as its Director. He will also hold the charge of the State Project Director of RMSA.
#Jyoti Prakash Das, who was the State Project Director of OPEPA and Director of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan along with SPD of RMSA, has been made the new Director of Textiles and given the additional charge of Boyanika as its MD.
# K Sudarshan Chakaravarthy, the present Collector of Koraput has been transferred to Balasore as the new Collector. Nuapada Collector Poma Tudu will take over as the new Koraput Collector.
#Ramesh Chandra Rout, serving as Balasore Collector, will now be the new Director of ESI, Bhubaneswar.
#Madhusmita Sahoo, who joined in the GA and PG Department has been made the new collector of Nuapada.
# Additional Secretary in the Agriculture Department, Sangram Keshari Mohapatra has been transferred and posted as the new Collector of Jagatsinghpur. He will replace Guha Poonam Tapas Kumar who has been posted as the Joint Secretary in the Health and Family Welfare Department.
# General Manager of OMBADC Jyoti Ranjan Pradhan has been posted as the new Collector of Jharsuguda. He replaces Bibhuti Bhushan Das who has been transferred to the Revenue and DM Department as Additional Secretary.
# Ananya Das, at present serving as Additional Commissioner of BMC has been transferred as the new Commissioner of Cuttack Municipal Corporation. She replaces Sarat Chandra Nayak who has been posted as Additional Secretary in the Health and Family Welfare Department.
# Labour Commissioner Anjan Kumar Manik will be the new Excise Commissioner, Cuttack.
# Krupasindhu Mishra, presently serving as the Additional Secretary in the Higher Education Department has been appointed as the new director of Information and Public Relation. He replaces Laxmidhar Mohanty who will take over as the Additional Secretary in the Higher Education Department.
# Joint Secretary in the Health Department Yamini Sarangi has been posted as the new Managing Director of Odisha State Medical Corporation. She will be replacing Archana Patnaik who has been posted as new MD of Odisha Lift Irrigation Corporation. Patnaik will also be holding the additional charge as the Special Secretary to the Water Resources Department.f
#Surendra Kumar Meena, who was the MD of Odisha Lift Irrigation Corporation, has been made the new Secretary of Board of Revenue, Cuttack.
# Director Technical Education Nirmal Chandra Mishra has been appointed as Director Tourism with additional charge as MD, OTDC.
# Dasarathi Satpathy, serving as Director of Legal Meteorology and Consumer Affairs will take over as the new Secretary of Odisha Legislative Assembly.
#Bhabani Shankar Chayani, holding the post of Additional Secretary in the Cooperation Department, has been appointed as the new Cuttack Collector. He will also hold the additional charge of VC in CDA.
#Project Director of District Urban Development Agency (DUDA) Khurda Abdaal Akhtar has been made the new Project Director of District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Cuttack.
