Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) listed all the authorised parking lots in Odisha’s capital on Monday.
As per BMC’s tweet, the parking lots have been divided into Southeast, Southwest, and North zones in Bhubaneswar.
Southeast Zone
- Rajmahal square to Master Canteen- 4 (both sides)
- Master Canteen square (including Reliance showroom) to Sriya talkies square – 5 (both sides)
- Hotel New Marion to Sriya talkies square- 6
- Unit 1 area haat cycle stand (off street) and outside haat (onstreet)- 1
- Infront of Akash institute- 1
- Infront of Unit-2 Durga Mandap
- Near Unit-3 exhibition ground
- Parking space between RD Womens college to Janpath
- Near Lingaraj complex (only for SHG/ALF)
- Rajmahal to Sishu Bhawan square- 4
- Near Unit market building- 3
Southwest Zone
- Khandagiri hill
- Near family bazaar and vishaal mega mart
North Zone
- Infront of Care hospital, Chandrasekharpur
- Infront of Pal Heights mall
- Infront of D D motor
BMC has also mentioned the parking rate chart for all categories of vehicles based on the duration:
It is pertinent to mention here that BMC has decided to launch Electronic Ticketing Machines (ETMs) at all vehicle parking lots in the city to ensure transparency for which necessary steps are being taken to introduce ticketing machines.
Once the ETMs are introduced, action will be taken against the vendors issuing manual tickets. The BMC has roped in Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited (BSCL) to implement the project.
“The e-ticketing system is aimed at streamlining the parking service besides ensuring transparency in collection of fees,” BMC Commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange said.
The civic body is also planning to provide POS machines to selected vendors to collect parking fees to encourage digital transactions.
