Can’t Keep Calm! Odisha Sculptors’ Carvings To Adorn Swami Narayan Temple In New Jersey
Bhubaneswar: Hundreds of sculptors from Odisha are displaying finest of their skills at Swarupganj in Rajasthan, tweeted senior IAS officer Arabinda K Padhee, and we cannot but feel proud of all these amazing pieces of art!
The sculptors are working under the guidance of Shankar Bhai of Baulagadia, Balasore, and their works will soon be installed in Swami Narayan Temple at New Jersey in USA.
He wrote, “So heartening to know that hundreds of Odia sculptors are expressing their finest skills at Swarupganj, Rajasthan under the skilful guidance of Shankar Bhai of Baulagadia, Balasore. All these statues and admirable pieces will be used in Swami Narayanan Temple, New Jersey, USA.

He also tweeted how these artists have been making our state and denizens proud. He wrote, “These skilled artists truly make us proud. I am informed that the team had made 22,000 statues and 148 large elephant statues for Akshardham Temple in New Delhi between 2000-2005.”
