New Delhi: Amid the nationwide protests by the Congress over the ED probe on Rahul Gandhi, the Central Bureau of Investigation has conducted a raid on Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot’s brother Agrasen Gehlot in his Jodhpur residence. Agrasen Gehlot is a fertiliser trader and had also been questioned by the Enforcement Directorate earlier in an alleged fertiliser scam.
Agrasen Gehlot has been accused of exporting subsidised fertiliser between 2007 and 2009 when the UPA government was in power, India Today reported.

The publication quoted sources as saying that from 2007 to 2009, Agrasen conspired and exported a large amount of Muriate of Potash (MoP) to foreign countries that were meant for Indian farmers at a subsidised rate.
“MoP was meant for poor farmers of the country. Agrasen Gehlot, through his company Anupam Krishi, bought the MoP at a subsidised rate and later sold it at a high rate to countries like Malaysia and Vietnam,” the ED had said in 2020 after conducting searches.
