Mumbai: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team arrived in Mumbai on Thursday to investigate the mysterious Sushant Singh Rajput case.
According to a report by Mid-Day, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of CBI will be visiting Sushant’s Bandra residence for recreating the crime scene.
The report also suggested that SIT will be using the actor’s dummy of exact weight and height for probing into the events that took place on June 14.
The 16-member investigating agency has divided itself into three teams – one team will be re-examining the statements of the witnesses and will be grilling Rhea Chakraborty and her family members, who are the main accused in the case.
The second team will be examining the forensic reports and quizzing the doctors, who had conducted the post-mortem.
The third team will be examining the evidence gathered by the Mumbai Police in the case.
“Our investigation will not be limited to the abetment of suicide case. We will probe all possible angles. We cannot comment more as we are yet to see the case file,” a CBI officer was quoted as saying by Mid-day.
Led by senior IPS officer Manoj Shashidhar, the team includes DIG Gagandeep Gambhir, SP Nupur Prasad, and DSP Anil Kumar Yadav.
Deputy Inspector General of CBI’s Anti’s Corruption Wing in Mumbai, Suvez Haque will be coordinating with the Mumbai Police as the nodal officer.
