Check Yellow Warning, Rain & Dense Fog Forecast For Odisha During Next 5 Days
Bhubaneswar: With the cold wave subsiding, Odisha is likely to witness foggy conditions and rain during the next five days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Monday.
The MeT office has forecast shallow to moderate fog at some places in the state till 8.30 am on February 3. Yellow warning for dense has been issued for one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Gajapati, Ganjam, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh and Kandhamal between 8.30 am on February 2 and 8.30 am on February 3.
Yellow warning continues for the next subsequent 24 hours but this time it is for thunderstorm and lighting and the districts that are likely to be affected are Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh and Keonjhar.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places in Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar and at one or two places in the rest of North Odisha between 8.30 am on February 3 and 8.30 am on February 4.
Several places in North Odisha and a few in South Odisha are likely to experience rain during the following 24 hours.
The rainfall activity will decrease thereafter, the IMD said.
The state will also witness a rise in night temperature by 3 to 5 degree Celsius during the next 3 to 4 days, it added.
Notably, cold wave conditions prevailed at one or two places in North Interior Odisha during the last 24 hours and mercury plummeted to 10 degrees Celsius or below at 10 places with Similiguda being the coldest in the state for the second consecutive day at 5.9 degrees Celsius.
