The Odisha government had decided to continue with 7 pm curfew time instead of 9 pm as announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs during Unlock 1.0. While the Centre has further reduced the curfew time by an hour during Unlock 2.0, starting July 1, there are apprehensions among people of Odisha about the government’s decision in this regard.
The other question doing the rounds is whether the government will continue with two-day weekly shutdown in 11 districts.
Odisha has witnessed a spike in COVID-19 in June with the total touching 7065 on Tuesday. The virus has so far claimed 25 lives in the state.
