Ex-CM Farooq Abdullah Steps Down As Nat’l Conference Chief, Son Omar May Take Over On Dec 5

New Delhi: Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah on Friday stepped down as the president of the National Conference (NC) party. Omar Abdullah is likely to be the new chief during elections for the post on December 5.

Addressing his party workers in Srinagar, Farooq said, “My health doesn’t permit me to lead the party now.”
