CM Inaugurates Training Programme For Farmers
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday inaugurated a training programme for farmers at Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) here.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said, “Under the programme, two farmers of from a panchayat will be imparted training at OUAT about modern agricultural practices. After training, these farmers will in turn provide train other farmers in their respective areas to implement the same for enhancing agricultural production.”
The programme will cover farmers of all 314 blocks of the state, the CM added.
Naveen also interacted with the farmers present during the inaugural ceremony of the programme and assured them that all the issues faced by them will be addressed soon.
The farmers apprised him of the problems faced by them, including distress sale of their produces and shortage of cold storage.
