Balasore: A contractor was seriously injured after being attacked by unidentified miscreants near Tarini petrol pump under Sadar police limits in Balasore district on Saturday night.
The victim was identified as Sushant Das.
According to police, two motorcycle-borne miscreants intercepted the contractor’s bike and attacked him with sharp weapons and immediately fled the spot.
Das was admitted to the district headquarters hospital in critical condition. Efforts are on to nab the criminals, a police officer said.
The officer attributed the attack to possible past enmity.
