COVID-19 Lockdown: Odisha CM Urges Nizamuddin Returnees To Dial 104

Bhubaneswar: Expressing concern over the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in Odisha with the return of some people who had attended the Tablighi Jamaat at Nizamuddin in New Delhi, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday requested the returnees to immediately contact the state government.

The CM has requested them to come dial the toll-free number 104 and register for medical test within 24 hours as delaying the process will put them and their family at risk.

So far, the state has identified 28 persons who returned from the religious congregation at Nizamuddin. Of them, 3 ((one each in Cuttack, Puri and Jajpur) have tested positive for COVID-19: The rest 25 have tested negative.

Naveen also requested women to cooperate with the state government for the safety and well-being of their family and children.

Describing coronavirus as a potent enemy of mankind, the CM sought the people’s cooperation to fight the killer virus.
