COVID-19: Residents Buy Ration While Standing In Demarcated Circles In Odisha’s Digapahandi

Digapahandi: Acting upon the government’s advisory on social distancing, the Digapahandi Police has started a unique initiative to keep people at a safe distance from each other at the ration stores by drawing circles for customers at a distance of one meter each.

People have been instructed to stand inside the demarcated circles to maintain a distance of one metre between them while purchasing essential commodities.

Asked about the unique initiative, Digapahandi Police said, “We have adopted these steps to avoid unnecessary crowd and follow the guideline of the state government. With these circles, people can buy their ration easily without crowding the place. This will help all of us to break the chain of spread of coronavirus”.

All the rations stores across the district have been advised to follow the rule as a precautionary measure to prevent the virus from spreading.

The residents have welcomed the initiative by Digapahandi Police.
