Cuttack: The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) has declared Gopal Sahi, Pratapnagari (ward no 58) as a containment zone, which saw nine persons testing positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.
“This decision is taken in the larger public interest to contain the further spread of the virus,” the CMC tweeted.
Contained Areas:
South: Backside house of Sunsanta Rout to backside house of Achutananda Jena
West: House of Achutananda Jena to the house of Anil Kumar Swain
North: Backside house of Anil Kumar Swain to backside house of Jagabendra Jena
East: House of Jagabendra Jena to house of Sunsanta Rout
“All vehicular movement and that of public transport and people will be stopped. All the inhabitants within the containment zone will strictly remain at home. All shopping establishment of whatsoever nature will be closed immediately. All the government and private institutions located within the boundary of the containment zone will also be closed forthwith. The supply of essentials and medical requirements will be ensured through various teams formed by CMC,” the notification added.
