New Delhi: The Cyber Cell of Delhi Police Thursday registered an FIR based on a tweet by child environmental activist Greta Thunberg where she supported the ongoing farmers’ agitation in India.
“We stand in solidarity with the #FarmersProtest in India,” the teen activist had tweeted.
On Thursday, she again tweeted, soon after the news of FIR against her surfaced.
“I still #StandWithFarmers and support their peaceful protest. No amount of hate, threats, or violations of human rights will ever change that. #FarmersProtest,” the 18-year-old Swede wrote in her latest tweet.

Incidentally, Thunberg has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize this year.
A number of international celebrities, including pop singer Rihanna, also tweeted expressing their support for the Indian farmers, following which the Union Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement slamming foreigners for making comments on the farmers’ agitation in India.
