Bengaluru: Punjab Kings may have lost to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the final of IPL 2025, but co-owner Preity Zinta is proud of the way the team performed.
Sharing her team’s photo, Preity wrote on Instagram, “It didn’t end the way we wanted it to but… the journey was spectacular!”
Celebrating her team’s fearless performance throughout the IPL season, she wrote, “I loved the fight & the grit our young team, our shers, showed throughout the tournament. We smashed records even though we lost key players… transferred home games to other states & evacuated a stadium! I’m so proud of each and every player.”
“Whatever we are & how far we have reached is all because of you. I promise we will come back to finish the job, cuz as of now the job is still half done. See you next year in the stadium. Till then, take care & stay safe,” she concluded.

Punjab Kings lost to Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 6 runs in the final on Tuesday night at Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad.
Like RCB, Punjab Kings were also looking to win their maiden IPL crown.
However, the result and the performances on field got overshadowed following the terrible tragedy that unfolded the next afternoon during RCB’s victory celebrations in Bengaluru. Eleven young people, including teenagers were killed in a stampede as thousands tried to get inside Chinnaswamy Stadium, which can only hold 35,000 people.
