Chennai: Political parties in Tamil Nadu, including the DMK and the AIADMK, have decided to not attend the all-party MPs’ meeting convened by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on Saturday to discuss the issue of delimitation.
According to reports, out of the state’s 57 MPs, only 20 are likely to join. This indicates a lack of consensus on the Chief Minister’s initiative.
The meeting was convened by the CM to bring together legislators from Tamil Nadu and discuss a common strategy against the Centre’s proposed delimitation.
