Bhubaneswar: Former India cricketer Nilesh Kulkarni was among 60-odd prominent personalities who joined ‘Allyship++’, a leadership conclave organised by the Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) Deemed to be University (SOA) in Mumbai on Saturday.
Former left-arm spinner Kulkarni, the only Indian to bag a wicket with his very first ball in Test cricket, took part in a thought-provoking conversation where he provided his insight on leadership, resilience and the evolving landscape of sport and education.
Kulkarni and Anand Menezes, former ace athlete and Senior Consultant to the Athletics Federation of India, were the keynote speakers at the conclave.
The programme included a dynamic panel discussion on ‘Allyship: Building Inclusive and Empowered Workplaces’, which was moderated by well-known author and motivational speaker Dr PB Kotur.
The speakers included Dr Brillian SK, Executive Vice-President and Head, Human Resources, Times Professional Learning; Dr Meenakshi Banerjee, Vice-President, People and Development at Business Next; Swapnakant Samal, Head of Talent and Transformation, Protiviti; Gauri Das, Senior Vice-President, Head of HR, India Factoring and Finance Solutions Private Limited.
The experts and panellists dwelt on current issues and future trends in leadership and corporate relations.
The inaugural speech was delivered by SOA Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda, who highlighted the importance of community and leadership.
This was SOA’s fourth edition of Allyship++ conclave. The previous editions were held at Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Kolkata.
