Bhubaneswar: A man and his son sustained grievous injuries after being allegedly attacked with swords by a group of miscreants Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.

According to preliminary information, around five miscreants stormed Dilip’s shop and inquired about the whereabouts of his son-in-law.

On being informed that the son-in-law was not around, the miscreants allegedly turned violent and attacked Dilip and his son. The attackers also damaged the shop before fleeing the site. The assault was suspected to have been triggered by previous enmity, sources said.

The injured persons, identified as Dilip and his son Rajendra, were rushed to hospital and admitted for treatment.

On being informed about the incident, a team from the Capital Police Station reached the spot and started an investigation.
