Greta Thunberg Case: Disha, 2 Others Created Toolkit Doc To Tarnish India’s Image, Says Police

New Delhi: Disha Ravi, who was arrested on Sunday, Nikita Jacob and Shantanu created the toolkit doc on farmers’ protest that was shared by teenaged climate activist Greta Thunberg on social media, Delhi Police said on Monday.

Joint CP (Cyber Cell) Prem Nath also alleged at a press conference that the aim of the trio was to tarnish the image of India, and that Disha had sent the toolkit to Thunberg via Telegram app.

Nath went on to say that Disha had created a WhatsApp group to spread the toolkit, which she subsequently deleted.

“Disha , Shantanu and Nikita created and edited the toolkit. Disha sent the toolkit to Greta Thunberg through the Telegram app. Disha deleted a whatsapp group which she created to spread the toolkit. Due procedure was followed during Dishal’s arrest,” Nath said.

After Disha was arrested from Bengaluru, Delhi Police issued non-bailable warrants against Nikita and Shantanu. Police also filed an FIR against Thunberg.

The police further informed that a Canada-based woman named Puneet connected the trio to the Pro-Khalistani Poetic Justice Foundation and that Nikita and Shantanu attended a Zoom meeting organised by the Foundation on January 11, when modalities were chalked out.

Nikita has already moved a plea before Bombay High Court seeking transit anticipatory bail for four weeks. The matter will be heard tomorrow.
