Bhubaneswar: Universities and Colleges under Higher Education Department in Odisha will remain closed only for students from April 23 till further orders, according to an official notification.
It further stated that all teaching and non-teaching staff will have to attend office regularly as per the common academic calendar. Ongoing/upcoming examinations will be held as scheduled. “Hostels shall remain open for the students if any student wants to stay in the hostel during this period,” it added.
The Mohan Majhi government had earlier declared summer vacation for government and private educational institutions, from anganwadi centres and pre-schools to Class XII, from April 23 in view of the severe heatwave conditions.
