Mumbai: Team India spinner Yuzvendra Chahal’s ex-wife, choreographer Dhanashree Verma, currently features in the Ashneer Grover-hosted reality show ‘Rise and Fall.’
Dhanashree, who had made headlines for her high-profile divorce and apparent alimony demands, was trolled for being a gold-digger and broke down on the show after fellow-contestant Aahana Kumra’s hurtful remarks on her character.
When content creator Akriti Negi revealed that Aahana had alleged in the past that Dhanashree likes to cling to men, the latter broke down and shared that she feels unsafe to talk to anyone now as people are taking her for granted.
“I am actually coming from a space of disappointment. When Aahana was in the penthouse, I found out that she said something about me, and I felt bad about it. I cried a lot that day. Despite that, when Aahana was cornered, Arbaz and I stood by her. I had very clearly told her that there are some reasons why people don’t talk to her. I even told her I was deeply hurt by her words, but now I don’t know what she is talking about me in the basement. I have felt bad. I have never said anything against anyone on the show, yet I never dragged my personal life on the show. I am told I am getting influenced, but that’s not true. I don’t like this environment. I have seen life, and I know I cannot trust Aahana anymore,” Dhanashree said.
She added, “I feel unsafe to talk to anybody now. People are crossing their limits.”
Earlier also, Aahana had called out Dhanashree for using the victim card.
“Yeh baar baar 2-2 minute mein Dhanashree kyun aapne divorce ke baat karti rehti hai (Why does Dhanashree keep bringing up her divorce every two minutes)? She needs to stop. We are applauding her, but this, ‘I am divorced, and all of this is happening with me,’ come on, stop the sob story. You are here to play the game; don’t play the victim card,” Ahana had said.
‘Rise and Fall’ also features Arjun Bijlani, Kubbra Sait, Sangeeta Phogat, Anaya Bangar, Aarush Bhola, Noorin Sha, Kiku Sharda, Aditya Narayan, Bali, Nayandeep Rakshit, Arbaz Patel, and Pawan Singh.
The show airs on Amazon MX Player at 12 pm and on Sony Entertainment Television at 10.30 pm.
