International Nurses Day 2020: Naveen Lauds Their Role During COVID-19

Bhubaneswar: Twitter is abuzz with politicians, celebrities and sportspersons wishing #InternationalNursesDay to the warriors in white coats.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik too, took to Twitter to show his gratitude and pay tribute to millions of nurses across the world playing the frontline role in fighting COVID-19.


Following the lead, Rajya Sabha MP Dharmendra Pradhan also congratulated ‘Nurses for the incredible work they are doing to safeguard our nation while risking their own life.’

International sand artist Sudarshan Pattnaik paid a sandy tribute to Florence Nightingale who is known as The Lady with a Lamp and founder of modern nursing.


B-town celebrities like Kajol and Aditi Rao Hydari also thanked nurses around the globe as heroes behind a mask. The latter shared a special art by famous England-based street artist, Banksy, picturing a little boy playing with a nurse doll rather than other toys.


Sports personalities like Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli urged people to celebrate and thank all nurses across the world who have been selflessly providing care and attention to those unwell and in need. 

As the world struggles to roll back to normalcy, doctors and nurses all over the world continue to save lives and be our heroes in disguise.
