Tel Aviv: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that Iran’s Islamic regime had plotted to assassinate US President Donald Trump, reported the Fox News. Netanyahu said Iran labelled Trump as “enemy number one.”
“They want to kill him. He’s enemy number one. He’s a decisive leader. He never took the path that others took to try to bargain with them in a way that is weak,” Netanyahu told Fox News’ Bret Baier.
He also gave credit to Trump for dismantling what he called a “fake agreement” and withdrawing from the Iran nuclear deal, and killing Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani.
According to Netanyahu, Trump had become the top target as he maintained a strong stance on preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. “He made it very clear, including now, ‘You cannot have a nuclear weapon, which means you cannot enrich uranium,’” the Israeli PM said.

Netanyahu also revealed that he was targeted by Iran. A missile, as he claimed, was fired into the bedroom window of his home. The Israeli PM dubbed himself as Trump’s “junior partner” in confronting Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
He justified Israel’s aggressive military campaign. “One, Iran is rushing to weaponise their enriched uranium to make an atomic bomb. Second, a rush to increase their ballistic missile arsenal to 3,600 weapons a year, within three years 10,000 missiles, and in 26 years, 20,000,” he said.
According to him, no country, especially one the size of Israel, could sustain such a threat. He insisted that Israel was also protecting the world by launching airstrikes on Iran. Netanyahu said that his country was prepared to do whatever is necessary to eliminate the nuclear and ballistic missile threat Iran poses to the world.
