Barbil (Odisha): JSW Steel’s Odisha Mining Division observed International Yoga Day on June 21 with great enthusiasm and spirit.
Employees, their family members and people from the community participated in yoga sessions conducted at Narayanposhi Mine, Nugaon Mine, Ganua Mine, JSW Koida Colony and JSW Barbil residential complex.
This year’s theme for the International Day of Yoga was ‘Yoga for Healthy Ageing,’ highlighting its role in promoting physical health, mental well-being, emotional resilience and active ageing which facilitate an improved quality of life.
Participants engaged in yoga sessions conducted by certified instructors, who demonstrated asanas, pranayama and meditation techniques designed to encourage healthy lifestyle.
The participants pledged to integrate yoga into their daily lives, recognising it as a powerful tool for stress management, improved focus and overall well-being.
Chittaranjan Bahinipati, Head HR of JSW Steel, Odisha Mining Division, emphasised that yoga is not just a practice but a way of life, fostering unity between body, mind and spirit.
