Mumbai: Kangana Ranaut responded to Vir Das’ post on X after the comedian dismissed the long-running rumours that she had injured him while filming a kissing scene, calling the claims “pure fiction.”
Reacting to Vir’s post, Kangana wrote, “Thanks, Vir, but who is she? Ewww — seems like some weirdo using us to satisfy her demonic sex fantasies. I am eating your blood and you are traumatised and crying even today after a decade. How random.”

The controversy resurfaced this week after a journalist alleged on a podcast that Kangana continued the kissing scene even after the director called “cut” during the shoot of ‘Revolver Rani’, claiming the incident left Vir with an injured lip.
Dismissing the rumours, Vir wrote: “Right. Just so we are clear. This story is pure fiction. Kangana was a complete professional and I still maintain she is a truly gifted artist. This is unfair slander against her. She went on to call me a terrorist a few years later for my comedy, but on set… no problems at all.”

Kangana had addressed a similar claim back in 2023 through a sarcastic Instagram post, joking that she had “assaulted poor Vir Das” after her fallout with Hrithik Roshan.
At the time, Vir responded to the speculation, questioning why the same story continued to resurface.
The friction between Vir and Kangana can be traced back to 2021, when his comedy special ‘I Come From Two Indias’, performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, sparked controversy in India.
The monologue touched on subjects such as sexual violence, the farmers’ protests, and the country’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, drawing both praise and criticism.
Kangana was among the most vocal critics, branding the performance “soft terrorism” on Instagram and referring to Vir as a “criminal.”
In response, the comedian clarified that the piece was intended as satire highlighting the contrasts that exist within every nation, rather than an attack on India.
