Karan Johar Summoned By Mumbai Police In Sushant Singh Rajput Case
New Delhi: Mumbai police has reportedly summoned filmmaker Karan Johar in the Sushant Singh Rajput case.
As per a report in News18, Mumbai police officials on Monday said that they will be recording Karan Johar’s statement in the case during the course of this week.
Post Sushant’s tragic demise on June 14, Karan has been at the receiving end of the nepotism debate in Bollywood.
He is also being called out for making fun of Sushant on his controversial chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’.
Following the backlash, Karan unfollowed all celebrities on his social media handle except Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar.
Mumbai police summoned Aditya Chopra, Rajeev Masand, Mahesh Bhatt and Karan Johar in the case after Kangana Ranaut’s interview with Arnab Goswami on Republic TV.

On Monday, veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt recorded his statement with the Mumbai police at Santacruz police station.
The filmmaker was grilled for nearly 3 hours in connection with the case.
On Sunday, reports were doing the rounds that Karan Johar’s manager had been summoned in the case. However, it was clarified later that Mumbai Police had summoned Dharma Productions’ CEO Apoorva Mehta as the statement of KJo’s manager had been recorded earlier.
Mumbai police have so far recorded statements of more than 35 people, including those of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Rajeev Masand, Sanjana Sanghi, Rhea Chakraborty, Shanoo Sharma, Mukesh Chhabra, Aditya Chopra.
