Bhubaneswar: The well-marked low pressure formed over the Bay of Bengal has weakened. However, another low pressure is likely to trigger heavy rainfall in Odisha from July 19, the regional meteorological centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday.

Under the influence of a low pressure expected to be formed over Bay of Bengal on July 19, most parts of south and coastal Odisha are likely to receive heavy rainfall for three days, Many parts of the state will witness dry weather conditions for the next 48 hours, Met sources added.

Meanwhile, chief amounts of rainfall was recorded in Puri and Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi district in the last 24 hours.

Normal life was thrown out of gear on Monday after several roads and bridges in Kalahandi, Rayagada, Gunupur and Ganjam districts were washed away following incessant rain in the past two days.
