Bhubaneswar: The leopard, which was trapped by forest officials at Haladi village in Nuapada district on Saturday, was brought in a special cage to Nandankanan here on Sunday evening.
“The animal will be kept in the zoo quarantine for a week for observation as it may be under stress. It will then be shifted to an enclosure,” Nandankanan deputy director Jayant Das said.
The man-eater leopard had spread panic in the village under Khariar range by killing a four-year-old boy on May 26. The animal had also attacked a 10-year-old girl while she was sleeping with her grandmother in her house last Saturday.
Forest official trapped the animal by putting up a cage with a goat in it.
