Manoj Bajpayee Has Not Had Dinner In Last 14 Years; Know Why

Mumbai: Some people skip dinner now and then to give their tummies a break. But doing away with dinner on a regular basis?

Well, Manoj Bajpayee has not had dinner for well over a decade.

The versatile actor revealed in a recent interview that dinner doesn’t exist in his daily routine for ’13-14 years’ for health reasons. The decision, which was inspired by his grandfather, has only benefitted him.

“13-14 saal ho gaye… I realised ki yaar ki mere grandfather bahut duble patle the… Aur bahut hi fit rehte the hamesha, toh I thought let me follow what he used to eat. Fir woh shuru jab maine kiya then mera wazan jo he control hona shuru hua. Mein kaafi energetic bhi feel kara aur kaafi healthy feel karna shuru kar diya. Then that was the time I decided that I will stick with this. Phir usme tweaking ye ki maine… fasting kabhi 12 ghante ka 14 ghante ka… raat ka dinner maine dheere dheere hatana shuru kiya…. After lunch, the kitchen is non-operational. It only operates when our daughter is back from hostel (It has been 13-14 years. I saw how my grandfather had a thin frame and was always fit. So I followed him which helped me lose weight. I also felt a lot more healthy. I used to tweak it by fasting for 12 hours to 14 hours and slowly, I got rid of having dinner completely),” Manoj said in an interview with Curly Tales.

It was very difficult to maintain this routine initially, he added. So he drank a lot of water and ate some healthy biscuits to kill his hunger.

The ‘Family Man’ star remarked that following such a lifestyle has yielded effective results and helps keep the body away from several diseases and disorders like diabetes, cholesterol and heart-related problems.

Manoj will next be seen in the courtroom drama ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai’, which will premier on ZEE5 on May 23.

He plays the role of a lawyer who sets out to fight against a powerful godman and looks to deliver justice to a minor who was assaulted by the latter.
