The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 37.5°C and 37°C respectively.

While thunderstorm activity along with gusty winds and rain in the past few days had brought the mercury down at some places, the maximum temperature in the eastern Indian states is likely to increase by 4-6°C in the next 4 days, according to senior meteorologist Umasankar Das.
