Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday informed about monsoon flow gaining strength over the Bay of Bengal. It is likely to advance into Odisha in the next 48 hours.

The weather department has also forecast heavy rain in the state between June 10 and June 14 under the influence of a low pressure, which is likely to form over the north Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood around June 11. This will accelerate the advance of the southwest monsoon into West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Sikkim, it added.
