Mysterious Sound Rattles Odisha Again; This Time In Bhadrak & Nearby Areas
According to sources, glasses of window panes started vibrating because of the sudden unexplained loud sound, which flummoxed the people and they ran out of their houses fearing it to be an earthquake.
A similar mysterious loud sound was heard at Baripada in Mayurbhanj district and Balasore on February 27, triggering speculation about a possible explosion or supersonic boom. People in Balasore district suspected that the loud sound might have occurred due to some missile test at the Integrated Test Range (ITR).
In November last year, a sound, akin to a huge explosion, was heard in Jajpur, Bhadrak and parts of Keonjhar district of Odisha. The Indian Metrological Department (IMD) had, however, confirmed that it was not an earthquake.
Notably, Bhadrak and Jajpur districts in the state had reported a similar occurrence in 2020.
