NTPC’s Two Stations In Odisha’s Angul Among Top 5 In Power Generation
Bhubaneswar: Talcher Kaniha and Talcher Thermal power stations in Angul district have bagged 2nd and 5th positions in power generation among NTPC stations for 2021-22.
Congratulating the employees of the two power stations on the occasion of the 47th Raising Day of NTPC here on Sunday, DS Rao, executive director (NTPC Talcher Thermal and Badarpur) appreciated their efforts for the achievement.
He also called upon the employees of all power stations to accept the challenges and contribute to the fullest in making success story of NTPC. He highlighted the operational achievements of the power stations under the jurisdiction of the eastern region headquarters including Darlipalli in Sundargarh district of Odisha, Bongaigoan in Assam and North Karanpura in Jharkhand besides Talcher Kaniha and Talcher Thermal.
Gurdeep Singh, chairman and managing director, NTPC, who addressed the employees through video conference from New Delhi, stressed on achieving efficient and sustainable operations in all spheres related to power generation.
Speaking on future plans of NTPC, he made special mention regarding the proposed two units of 660-MW capacity at Talcher Thermal.
