Bhubaneswar: In a significant boost to industrialisation, the Odisha government on Tuesday approved 20 projects with a total proposed investment of Rs 4,353 crore.
The projects were approved at the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting, chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja here.
The projects would be located across 11 districts of the state and are expected to generate 7,815 employment opportunities, a senior official said.
These projects, spanning sectors such as chemicals, electronics, aluminium, tourism, infrastructure, IT services, power and renewable energy, and food processing, will benefit districts including Angul, Dhenkanal, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Khurda, Koraput, Puri, Sambalpur, and Sundargarh.
These approvals underscore the state government’s proactive approach to attracting quality investments, ensuring seamless facilitation, and enabling industries to establish and expand with ease. By distributing industrial projects across various districts, Odisha is promoting balanced regional growth while creating new employment opportunities for its young population.
Officials said Odisha continues to champion a development model focused on people and industry readiness. The government’s priorities—job creation, skill development, entrepreneurship, and local workforce participation—ensure that each investment directly contributes to improving lives and strengthening communities.
By aligning industrial growth with human development, Odisha is setting a new standard for responsive, inclusive, and results-oriented governance.
With strong policy reforms, investor-friendly facilitation, and a dedicated focus on youth employment, Odisha is confidently charting its path toward becoming a leading industrial destination in Eastern India and a model of sustainable economic progress, they added.
