Odisha Bans Deep Sea Fishing For Two Months; Know Why

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has banned deep sea fishing for two months to facilitate fish breeding.

The ban will be enforced from April 15 to June 15, the breeding season of marine fish.

Marine fishing is allowed only for 135 days in a year in Odisha. Sea fishing also stops from November 15 to June 15 every year because of the breeding season of sea turtles.
