Bhubaneswar: There will be no public grievance hearing on February 17 and 24 due to the ongoing Budget Session of Odisha Assembly, an official release said on Saturday.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who also holds the Finance portfolio, will place the Odisha budget for 2025-26 on February 17.
The next date will be announced through newspapers and other media via press release, it added.
The hearing was also suspended on February 10 due to some some important official engagement of the CM.
Sharing updates, Majhi had earlier stated that 6,545 of 8,031 complaints have been resolved. “1,000 new applications and 700 complaints have ben forwarded for action. A child from Boudh district received Rs 5 lakh assistance, and housing was approved. The government aims to resolve all pending applications within 90 days and advised people to approach district collectors for grievance redressal instead of traveling to Bhubaneswar,” he added.
On February 6, he also instructed senior officials to prioritise and expedite the resolution of public grievances to restore faith in government processes.
The CM had revived the much-awaited public hearing, which was discontinued in 2008, at the designated grievance cell at Unit-V here from July 1, 2024.
