Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to allow students who have applied for the Phase-I UG admission process to re-edit their Common Application Form (CAF). Revised guidelines in this regard have been have been issued by the Higher Education Department.
Sources said this decision was taken by the Department after some applicants failed to update their +2/equivalent marks during the initial editing window, resulting in their exclusion from selection in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
Moreover, some students incorrectly mentioned their choice of institutions or omitted preferred institutions while filling out the CAF.
The re-editing facility will be available after the completion of the 3rd round admission process, and updated choices will be considered during the 4th (Waiting List/Spot) round selection process.
Applicants who have already submitted their application under Phase-I can edit their CAF using their existing username and password without paying the CAF fee again.
Applicants can revise their choice of institutions and preferred major subjects. They can select a minimum of one and a maximum of multiple institution options based on their preferences.
A list of applicants who have opted for an institution will be made available in the respective HEI’s e-Space and on the SAMS U.G. portal. Applicants can view their rank against their preferred HEIs, and selection will be done purely on a merit basis.
The revised guidelines for the 4th round admission process will be followed, with all other points remaining unchanged. Institutions are requested to complete activities within the stipulated timeline.
